Users can explore how laws are made and country symbols and songs. 2. The United States Postal Service 3 stars There is a section that shows collector stamps. This site introduces users to the different types of stamps and mailing both international and local. 3. National Oceanic and Atmospheric NOAA 3 stars This website could be used to understand and predict changes in climate. NOAA researches topics from the sun to the ocean floor. This website has information from daily weather forecasts, severe storm warnings, to monitoring the climate. 4. Central Intelligence Agency 3 stars This website could be used in higher level math to create formulas for population number. This site can give users overviews of their country and its parts. 5. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLA) 5 stars This tool allows one to narrow down their personal career preferences. This site gives them the necessary information they can use to decide if a career is something of their interest. 6. Ready 3 stars Ready is a campaign designed to educate about natural disasters. Information is presented to users detailing how to prepare for and respond to emergencies related to weather. 7. Local Government Agency 3 stars This website gives users access to government and state information. One can make a Maryland map and learn the different counties in Maryland. Students can compare the land development of their state over time. 8. The National Archives 3 stars The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is the nation's record keeper. Only 1%-3% are kept by the archives forever. These records are preserved and are available to anyone. 9. Federal Emergency Management Agency 3 stars FEMA is a great resource when researching about natural disasters. Not only is this a good source for students but great lessons plans for teachers. 10. White House 3 stars There is a link to learn about each president with full biographies and pictures. There is even a link to most of the first ladies.
