- keep log in information secure at the circulation desk,
- be courteous and professional in all interactions with patrons,
- be professional with interactions with staff, volunteers, and the public,
- attend professional development and trainings,
- checkout materials and return in a timely manner,
- have knowledge of running the circulation desk and needed forms without violating patron privacy.

- independently operate the circulation and OPAC systems,
- maintain appropriate voice volume,
- assist with research needs,
- maintain the book collection,
- productively work with patrons and other library staff,
- repair or delete damaged books,
- process new materials,
- repair materials,
- help inventory the library collection,
- answer the phone in a professional manner,
- keep technology updated,
- shelve and locate books correctly,
- understand the organization of the library collection,
- maintain the appearance of the library.
Evaluation
All staff members will be evaluated on a yearly basis using the above criteria. This evaluation is based on three levels of achievement:
Highly Proficient- The media specialist goes beyond the educator expectations.
Proficient- The media specialist meets all the expectation requirements.
Emerging- The media specialist needs to work on 2 or more areas of expectation.
Student Learning outcomes are expected twice a year. Once in the fall and once in the spring. A conference can be requested before submission of these two documents. An end of the year evaluation will take place every other year. On these years a midyear conference may be held by request of the librarian. The school principal can also request a meeting.
