Plagiarism
Acts of plagiarism include, but are not limited to…
You have the right to...
- check out and read any library material you choose,
- suggest materials to be purchased,
- ask for help in finding needed materials,
- have access to a high quality collection that is updated and kept in good shape,
- a diverse collection of books from different cultures and religions,
- computers available to access needed information.
You have the right to privacy...
- when checking out material you will not be questioned or judged,
- your personal information will be kept private,
- limited amounts of information will be collected,
- personal information will not be shared beyond what is needed for school use,
- personal information will be stored only during time period needed,
- and online security program will be implemented to keep you safe.
Student responsibilities...
- using library materials appropriately,
- follow all library rules and procedures including technology rules,
- return library materials on time,
- show respect to materials and return in proper shape,
- treat the library with respect by working quietly and returning all materials to the appropriate places,
- being respectful to others.
Plagiarism
Acts of plagiarism include, but are not limited to…
- turning in someone else’s work as your own,
- using some of the work of someone else without giving proper credit,
- copying information word for word without giving credit to artist,
- not placing others information in quotation marks.
